Private Horse Owner Liability
If you own a horse or horses but do not operate a commercial horse business, our Private Horse Owner Liability policy can protect you against legal claims that your horse caused bodily injury or property damage to someone on or off your premises. For example, if your horse gets loose and runs onto a road causing an accident, or if your horse injures someone at a horse show you could be held liable.

- Up to $1,000,000 in liability limits
- Coverage applies on or off your premises anywhere in the U.S., Canada, and U.S. territories
- Medical payments up to $5,000
- General liability Aggregate limits are three (3) times the liability per occurrence limit
- Can be added to your Mortality & Theft policy
- Various limits are available
- Coverage is offered for bodily injury and property damage done by any horse listed on the schedule of the policy

This coverage is not available to individuals involved in commercial equine operations, like riding instruction, boarding, if you own more than ten (10) horses, provide trail rides, training, or commercial breeding. See Commercial Equine Liability
